Paid Weekly, On Fridays. 5 - 6 days a week. 2 Weeks Vacation After 1 Year + Uniforms Provided. Home Daily. Supplemental Pay Bonuses Summary of Position with General Responsibilities: The Delivery Driver will work with other members of the Back End Logistics team to ensure complete, accurate and on-time deliveries to the company’s customers. Delivery Driver will represent the company in a highly professional, safe, and effective manner at all times. This position interfaces with consumers regularly therefore professional attitudes and behavior are critical. Essential Job Functions: Responsible for executing deliveries on a larger route that may include in-home delivery and assembly via driving and operating a 26 foot truck with a lift gate safely, under Back End's Safety Policies as a team with co-driver Prepare truck for operation by loading, securing, and verifying the accuracy of items to be shipped Maintain communication with company and consumers during route to ensure proper handling and timing Complies with all company vehicle safety standards and documentation Ability to Assemble furniture as needed Maintain appearance of delivery truck by daily cleaning of the inside of the truck Ability to demonstrate proper phone etiquette while making calls to the consumers Ability to utilize a phone or tablet technology in accordance with essential job functions Basic Qualifications: Must be a least 21 years of age Previous experience as a delivery driver for a moving company, and/or any appliance or furniture company Clean MVR record as per our company fleet safety policy. Must have valid driver’s license Solid customer service skills Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos Ability to multi-task, work within a team environment, pay attention to detail and meet deadlines Additional Desirable Qualifications Skills and Knowledge: General knowledge of DOT regulations is preferred Must have or obtain a DOT medical card prior to your first day of work. Education and/or Experience: Must have at least 6 months experience moving furniture Must have at least 1-2 years’ experience driving a box truck High school diploma required Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stoop, bend, pull, climb, reach and grab as required. Must be able to traverse multiple flights of stairs while carrying furniture. Must be able to sit for prolonged periods of time while in delivery truck. The employee frequently is required to talk and hear. The employee must be able to lift up to 120 pounds and move 240 pounds with a dolly or assistance from another person. Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee must be able to work outdoors and in various weather conditions (heat or cold).
