We found a beautiful dog a few days ago. Around one year old. (perfect teeth). He was sitting on our porch one morning and walked right into our house and hearts. Sad, upset and lost. Literally crying about the events that led to our doorstep. We registered him with the Humane Society but couldn't bring ourselves to drop him there to be kenneled so we are fostering him. In the days since he's been with us, we found that he's well trained, house broken, amazing with kids, sits, gives paw, and will heel on command. Sweetest disposition. Doesn't bark and plays well with other dogs at the dog park. He is intimately familiar with sitting on the sofa and watching the comings and goings around him while never missing a chance to follow someone into the kitchen in hopes of a treat. We assumed that the owner would quickly contact the humane society/vets/facebook groups for lost pets but no one has done so. Unfortunately we can't keep him (after 30 days he's available for adoption). Sadly we will be leaving Maui in a few months. Hoping to find the perfect family for him to host him for the rest of the 30 day waiting period and be his forever home if his owner never steps forward (which from what we are told is the likely outcome). This would have to be coordinated thru the Humane Society of course but should be simple enough. He's a special dog and we have to find him a special home. He is everything you could hope for in a kid friendly dog and will be in the 60lb range when fully grown. Email me if interested. Mahalo
