My mom's engagement ring

It was about 35 or so years ago, during a family vacation where my parents took us to Florida. We enjoyed all there was at the time! Busch gardens, Disney world and the epcot center was either being built or was new at the time. I cant recall. I was young. We visited the kennedy space center and actually had the opportunity to watch a shuttle launch from a fence far enough away, yet still close enough to feel the heat from the launch. So cool now looking back, though I appreciated it much less as a child I'm sure. It was during our visit at the kennedy space center that my sister had used the bathroom and washed her hands there. In doing so, she removed my mom's engagement ring from her finger and failed to put it back on. No one even realized it until we left the space center. We turned around to go back, but it was gone by the time we got there. My parents are still married and in their 70's. I wonder if anyone even remembers this story. The ring was gold, and dainty. The word love was the design and the "o"was a diamond I think in the shape of a heart even, but I can't specifically recall. I know it's really a long shot to even post this, but I've heard some pretty strange things happen that seemed miraculous too. I wonder if you've seen the ring? Maybe you have it? Maybe you remember finding it yourself or know someone who did? Like I said I know it's a real long shot, but I figured I'd give it a try.
