General Contracting firm is seeking a Skilled Carpenter, who will perform many tasks involving physical carpentry on construction sites. OSHA 30 Construction Card required for job site. SST card preferred. Polish speaking preferred. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: • Move, secure, install, build, load or unload materials as directed • Maintain a clean job site: pick up all tools and equipment and secure job site each day in order to eliminate potential hazards. • Lift heavy loads up to 70 lbs and navigate through construction site • Load and unload trucks • Material handling and storage • Sheetrock painting and masonry experience • Knowledge of power tools and their uses Requirement(s): • OSHA 30 • Polish speaking preferred. • 4HR Scaffold Certificate • Ability to use equipment and tools properly and safely • Ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions • Able to work independently as well as part of an effective team • Attention to detail • Punctual and reliable • Must be physically able to perform heavy construction work. Jobsites vary based on company needs (Queens, Brooklyn, Bronx, Manhattan)
