Franklin County is full of prized farmland, eccentric small towns and New England history melded in the hills of the Connecticut River Valley
Frontier Cycling and Pioneer Valley Food Tours team up to explore the food and our favorite routes in Franklin County. Cycling guide Ryan will lead you on a moderate 25-30 mile ride along the river valley, stopping to visit farms that cultivate a variety of produce from the Valley's renowned glacial soil.
We'll ride alongside the Connecticut and Deerfield Rivers, in the shadow of the Pocumtuck Ridge noted for its cliffs and peaks while surrounded by land continuously farmed for over 300 years. While cycling, we will remain a distance of 6' apart and wear masks at all times, as currently required by the MA Department of Health. Ride level: Easy-Intermediate
