I am looking for a Cardiologist in or near Mount Pleasant, Texas that a) Takes Medicaid b) Will listen to the patient and c) will put diet over drugs regardless of the "risk" of stroke if it is what the patient wants. I live at the Mount Pleasant Assisted Living Facility. The final treatment decision is up to the patient not the doctor. Personally, I'd like to get off as many drugs as possible. But mainly, for now, off of Eliquis, which is a blood thinner that has dietary, aka nutritional, alternatives, like Onions, Garlic, Beets, Spinach, and Cayenne Pepper. And there is science behind the nutritional option. I do need a cardiologist but one who genuinely cares about patients like me and will be smart enough to put diet ahead of a drug-pushing agenda.
