*Looking for an addition to our furbaby family - dog*

My husband and I are looking for an addition to our furbaby family. We don't have any children. However, we do have 2 adult cats (10 and 6 years old). We are in our late 30's. We own our own home and have a small wooden fenced in yard (in Antioch, near Hamilton Church). We are hoping for a small female dog (no chihuahuas please) that is house trained/litter trained, that also has a sweet, loving, intelligent temperament. Any age is perfectly fine. Mixed breeds most welcome. Good, laid back inside house manners, independent when we are working... and excited to go on walks, hikes, and dog parks on the weekends. I work from home, so the dog wouldn't be alone very often and would be showered with love and attention, not to mention groomed frequently if she needs it. We take adoption very seriously because this is a lifelong commitment. We understand that some dogs prefer the company of children and other dogs... but since we don't have children and only plan on having one dog in the household, I'd love for pup to be happy with that environment. She would have the opportunity to play with other dogs (whether at the dog park, or my sister's - she has a small Corgi). If you have a sweet dog that fits this description, feel free to email me with pictures (I LOVE pictures!), as well as more in depth information about the pup. I understand the reasoning for a rehoming fee (and that's perfectly fine), as long as it's not a lot. I'd rather spend more money on the new pup so she can thrive in her environment! Last, but not least, I would also love someone that is understanding when it comes to the possibility of the pup not working out. You never know how the pup is going to react to her environment over time. And if she is not thriving or happy, it would be great to have the option to return the pup (with a full refund) so that she would be able to find the best home. It would be sad if it were to come to that(hopefully not), but the pup's happiness is what matters most. I look forward to hearing from you! Thank you for taking the time!
