Mokena Park District Plans Flashlight Egg Hunt

MOKENA, IL — It might not seem like it, but spring isn't that far off. The Mokena Community Park District already has several spring events in the works, including a Flashlight Egg Hunt on March 25 at Yunker Park. Early registration for the event ends Feb. 26, and the registration deadline is March 11. It is $12 for residents and $14 for nonresidents if you register by Feb. 26. According to the park district, there will be two egg hunts this year at Yunker Park. Eggs are filled with tickets which can be used to redeem raffle prizes, but the biggest prize will go to whoever finds the golden egg. Participants should bring a flashlight and a bag to carry eggs. The event is for ages 8-12.
