Mental Health First Aid empowers community members to identify, understand and respond to risk factors and warning signs of mental health and addiction concerns Participants learn:
a 5-step action plan to help someone developing a mental health problem or someone in crisiswhere to turn for support - professional, peer and self-helptopics covered include depression, anxiety, trauma, psychosis, addiction disordersParticipants earn a three-year certification upon completion.
PARKING at Nassau County Council on Aging Please park in the front or on the sides of the building and enter through the main front entrance. At the reception desk, you will stop for a brief COVID screening.
