MURRIETA, CA — A probationer in a Murrieta parking lot was found to be in possession of high-powered weapons and drugs, the Riverside County Sheriff's Department announced this week. Around 4 p.m. Wednesday, members of the Murrieta-Temecula Regional Gang Task Force along with officers from the Murrieta Police Department's Community Policing Team detained Drey Aguilar in a business parking lot at 39500 Los Alamos Road. A search of a vehicle "associated with" Aguilar turned up a TEC-9 semi-automatic pistol, a fully automatic STEN Mk. II submachine gun, large capacity loaded magazines, suspected methamphetamine and M-30 controlled substance pills, according to sheriff's Sgt. S. Dyer. Aguilar was arrested and later booked into Cois Byrd Detention Center on numerous felony weapons and narcotics charges, Dyer said. Jail records were not immediately available.
