MANHATTAN BEACH, CA — Sometimes it's the little unexpected pleasures that can turn a good day into a great day! Such was the case for Brenton Hamilton who got a terrific shot in Palos Verdes when he was on his way to pick up his 9-month-old son who was being taken care of by his grandparents.
Shot with a Sony A7iii with Sony 24-105mm f/4 lens (ISO 100, 24mm, f/4, 1/125 secs) and developed with Luminar, the Redondo Beach man told Manhattan Beach Patch, "I wanted to frame the sunset with rocks in the foreground and Catalina in the distance. I wasn't expecting this cloud structure to unfold so that was a pleasant addition."
The photo was taken at Pelican Cove, nestled between the Point Vicente Lighthouse and Terranea Resort in Rancho Palos Verdes. Hamilton, who is "just amateur" finds photography to be a passion that he tries "to pursue whenever I am out and about."
If you have an awesome photo of nature, breathtaking scenery, kids caught being kids, a pet doing something funny or something unusual you happen to catch with your camera, we'd love to feature it on Patch.
We're looking for high-resolution images that reflect the beauty and fun that is California, and that show off your unique talents.
Send your photos to [email protected].
