Description
I recently adopted two young chubby frogs because the owner would only sell them in a pair. I want to rehome one of them because of this. It is most likely a male, but at this age, there is no guarantee. I will rehome him in a temporary container with moist moss and substrate as well as a container of small mealworms, which is what he is currently feeding on. He is a very little frog, but will be fully-grown in around 5-6 months.
These are burrowing frogs and they live at room temperature (68-75 degrees F). They do not require a very big habitat because of this. All you will need is some moist substrate and moss here and there, a hide if you want to decorate the tank, and a shallow water bowl in case they decide to soak (not common). All you will need until he grows larger (a max of 2-3 inches from snout to vent) is only a 2.5 gallon tank to start.
If you need more information on the species, or want specified images, email or text will be just fine. The image attached is a near-adult of his species; search chubby frog for more about them, I suggest you do research first, even if they are incredibly simple starter amphibians. I am not the best at picking up phone-calls, but respond to text quickly. I am asking a rehoming fee of $20 for the froglet and some food.
