Mariposa Castro of Gilroy, who has run a yoga studio & tea lounge, charged by @USAO_DC w/invading Capitol, per @FBI, citing social media posts, including videos she uploaded in which she said, "We're in! we're inside the Capitol house" "We're coming" and "This is war." pic.twitter.com/buagFFTA93— Henry K. Lee (@henrykleeKTVU) February 12, 2021 Castro's online posting of her participation in the insurrection led to her arrest, Lee reports. Castro uploaded video of her storming the Capitol in which she said "We're inside the Capitol house," and "This is war." Five people were killed in the insurrection including a Capitol Police officer when rioters stormed the Capitol in support of outgoing President Donald Trump's baseless claims of election fraud. Castro was charged Jan. 21 in Washington D.C and arrested earlier this month in the Bay Area, The Mercury News reports. The U.S. Justice Department couldn't immediately confirm the charges against Castro to Patch. A person who answered a phone number associated with Mariposa Yoga Studio & Tea Lounge told Patch that Castro is no longer involved with operating the business. The person said Castro was advised by her attorney not to speak to reporters. "We're instructed not to talk to anyone, just ignore all calls," they said.
