Looking to adopt cat/kitten

In a few weeks or maybe sooner I would possibly like to open up my home for an additional cat/kitten. I already have 1 1 1/2 year old female cat and her companion passed away recently. She’s so young and I feel like shouldn’t go without a friend. The shelter doesn’t currently have kittens that seem to be the right fit. I would like to Just get a feel at the moment at what’s out there. Let me know what you have with a photo, age, gender, etc. Thank you!
