Join Foto Dono for a photo assignment to Bok Tower Gardens. Foto Dono is heading out on the road to photograph Bok Tower Gardens on Sunday, February 21st. The trip is a self-assignment photo field trip. You are welcome to join him as he explores and captures macro and landscape photos. The journey is rain or shine, so come prepared. The event isn't a class but an opportunity to shoot in a fantastic location nestled on a hill in Florida. Dono will be there to provide instruction to those who need it. There is no fee. Entrance fees and transportation is up to the individual. However, he is amicable to gratuities. Tipping is a personal choice and at your discretion. He does accept digital tips. What to expect: Walking and lots of it! Also, birds, flowers, and an odd critter or two. You can bring your breakfast or lunch, and pets are welcome as well. Equipment: A DSLR or Mirrorless Camera any lens will do. Dono will be bringing a wide-angle and a telephoto to use; however, he will leave his tripod behind. The trip is about a 3-hour drive for Dono to Bok Tower Gardens, and he plans to be at the gate by 7:30 PM. The gardens open at 8 AM. Dono will be posting updates from his self-imposed photo assignment over his Instagram - @fotodono. You are invited to walk along with him as he goes to each set-up location. Or join him at the Visitor Center at those times as he will review your photos and cameras. He will make three stops outside the Visitor Center to meet fellow photographers. The first stop will be at 8:30 AM and the second at 10 AM. His last visit at the Visitor Center will be at Noon before he heads home. Bok Tower Gardens is open daily from 8 am-6 pm, with the last car admitted at 5 pm.
