Join us as we explore the Hazelwood Greenway this month and think of ways to improve it. Hazelwood Initiative welcomes residents, local hikers, and conservation professionals to join us throughout the month of February as we explore the Hazelwood Greenway with a critical eye in preparation for our February 22nd greenway improvement planning meeting with the Pittsburgh Department of City Planning and Landforce. Some things we will be looking at will include Health of the ecosystem and areas that need supportPlaces where the trail needs to be improvedPlaces where additional trails might be created to improve resident connections Places to better connect the two sections of the greenway separated by Hazelwood AvenueDIFFERENT STARTING POINTS FOR EACH HIKE Sat. Feb. 6 -- 12pm: Meet at the Hazelwood Community Garden (former YMCA location on Chatsworth Ave.) Sat. Feb. 13 -- 1pm: Meet at the top of East Elizabeth St. at the entrance to the woods Sun.
