WEST VILLAGE, NY — Pharmacies in the West Village are among the more than 250 pharmacy locations across the city that are now administering COVID-19 vaccines to seniors. There are three local pharmacies offering vaccination appointments to anyone 65 and older as part of a federal program. Here are the three new vaccine sites for seniors in the West Village. 1. Rite Aid Pharmacy at 534 Hudson Street Type Of Vaccine: ModernaSchedule An Appointment (Required) 2. Rite Aid Pharmacy at 501 Avenue of The Americas Type Of Vaccine: ModernaSchedule An Appointment (Required) 3. Walgreens/Duane Reade at 77 7th Avenue Type of Vaccine: ModernaSchedule An Appointment (Required) The Federal Retail Pharmacy Program will deliver 26,500 vaccine doses a week to Walgreens, Duane Reade, Costco and Rite Aid pharmacies across New York City, officials announced Thursday. "Pharmacies are a trusted part of our infrastructure, particularly for seniors who rely on them for medications and other services," Dave Chokshi, the city's health commissioner, said in a statement. "These additional doses will be a lifeline for so many city residents." Eligible New Yorkers can book vaccine appointments online at vaccinefinder.nyc.gov.
