Job details Salary From $18 an hour Hours Monday to Friday, 3:30PM to 12:00AM Summary: Coordinate, supervise, train and support all custodial operations to ensure safe, clean, and healthy facilities. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Plan, schedule, and coordinate custodial work for all full-time custodians. • Supervise and evaluate all full-time custodians. • Assign, schedule, and coordinate all custodial staffing on a daily basis. • Assists in performing training of custodial personnel in custodial methods and the proper use of tools, equipment, and supplies. • Performs special projects. Position Requirements • Minimum of 1 year custodial supervisory experience preferably in a school setting • Able to operate commercial cleaning equipment • Must have sufficient strength to meet the demands of the job which include lifting up to 50 pounds and the ability to climb, lift, bend, and stand 90% of time • Able to work in all weather conditions and perform occasional snow removal. • Obtain background clearance. • Maintain a valid Pennsylvania driver’s license and have reliable transportation and a safe driving record. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: • Must be knowledgeable of safety regulations and proper methods for handling and using cleaning chemicals and equipment. • Must know a wide range of custodial techniques. Must be able to determine proper cleaning procedures for flowing, equipment, fixtures and building components. • Ability to work as a team member. • Must be courteous and able to deal effectively with people. • Must be cooperative and able to work in an environment with frequent interruptions. • Ability to give and follow written and verbal directions. • Ability to follow written and verbal directions. • Ability to complete assigned tasks with minimal supervision. • Ability to read, write and do simple computations. • Ability to exercise good judgment in prioritizing tasks. • Able to communicate effectively. • Ability to motivate and train custodial personnel.
