Summary:
This position is a part of the fast paced, in house, assembly team that processes auto parts.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Performs any assembly-type functions, using hand or power tools.
Operates assemble jigs, pneumatic tools, and hand tools to aid in assembly.
Positions and assembles parts according to special instructions, routings, and blueprints.
Measure parts to specified tolerances.
Deburrs, grinds, and buffs parts.
Inspect all parts for cleanliness and flaws. If flaws exist, completes Nonconforming Material Report.
Clean, assemble, disassemble, and replace parts as required.
Keep assembly department clean and free of foreign object damage.
Keep production supervisor advised of work status, workload, problems, and progress as related to work assignments.
Other tasks as assigned.
Preferred Education and Experience
One year related experience including assembly, automotive mechanics and technical reading and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
Knowledge and Personal Attributes:
Computer proficiency including MS Excel, Word and Outlook.
Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Ability to work well in a team environment.
Mathematical skills along with mechanical aptitude is a must
Ability to work will independently.
