We have a really sweet awesome 3 year old Great Dane. He’s fixed. He’s a really great dog we have enjoyed him very much. There’s just one catch. He needs to go to a family that has someone home all times. He is house trained and sits and lays down. He walks well on a leach. But the moment you leave him alone in the house he starts taring up things and chewing stuff. He’s ruined countless toys including my daughters most prized doll she carried around for over a year. He’s ruined shoes boots $80 dog bed the list just goes on and on. He doesn’t even try to tare these things up when you’re around. He gets in the trash and spreads it all over the house. He can open door knobs and gets into cabinets. I’ve put up with it for two years waiting and hoping he’d grow out of it. He doesn’t seem to ever get better. I really love him and I hate doing this but I can’t keep watching my children’s disappointment when he destroys everything. There is a refining fee and he must go to a good hone. I will not just let him go to anyone. However if someone is in a situation where he can always be watched I’d like to regime him. He’s only ever ate high end dog foods that are grain free.
