NATIONAL PAVEMENT PARTNERS - We are looking to hire enthusiastic, hardworking, and Dependable Asphalt Paving Laborers, Asphalt Maintenance laborers, and roller hands. To ensure success as an Asphalt Laborer, Maintenance Laborer, and Roller Hand, you should be physically fit and be able to work long hours in all weather conditions. Asphalt Laborers are often required to work over weekends, on public holidays, and at night. Asphalt Laborer Responsibilities: Offloading the truck and gathering tools for the day. Transporting rakes, shovels, and spray cans to the paver. Sweeping and cleaning the area in front of the paver. Measuring and lining out the area for the day’s paving. Working as a Flagger to direct motorists away from the work zone. Running plate compactor. Building a sit down pad for the paver at the beginning of the pull. Assisting the screed operator. Raking and shoveling material. Maintaining cleanliness and packing equipment away at the end of the day. Asphalt Laborer Requirements: Proven work experience as an Asphalt Laborer. Knowledge of road and traffic regulations. Ability to work as part of a team. Ability to work on weekends, public holidays, and at night. Ability to travel to wherever the job is needed. Ability to work for long hours in all weather conditions. Ability to stand for extended periods of time. Excellent communication and observation skills. Responsibilities of an Asphalt Maintenance laborer: The Paving Maintenance Laborer will be responsible for cleaning, prepping, maintaining and applying liquid seal coat and crack seal on pavement surfaces. Candidate must be able use blowers, brooms, shovels, and a variety of other hand tools to ensure a clean surface prior to recoating. Asphalt Maintenance Laborers are often required to work over weekends, on public holidays, and at night. Asphalt Maintenance Crew Responsibilities: Set up and tear down equipment Inspect, clean, and maintain equipment and machinery Clean and prep pavement for resurfacing Able to use blowers, broom, shovels, wheelbarrows, and other hand tools need to complete job Able to clean cracks in pavement and reseal with crack seal Hand work areas as needed where sealing machine is unable to reach Spray sealcoat sealer Responsible for maintaining a clean, neat and organized job site Assist with traffic control devices Any other duties as assigned by management Job Requirements: Proven work experience as an Asphalt Laborer. ASPHALT ROLLER RESPONSABILITIES: Safely operates roller to compact asphalt to achieve the specified compaction and smooth surface. Determines speed and direction of roller based on knowledge of compactable surface area. Works closely with other crew members using hand signals to coordinate work and ensure safety. Making sure Roller water Tank is filled and emptied as needed. Performs daily inspection and maintenance and ensures that roller is in safe, proper working order including fluid checks and proper lubrication. Reports to shop when roller needs maintenance and repair. Keeps roller clean and prepares equipment for transport on flatbed when needed. Job Requirements: Proven work experience as an Asphalt Roller Operator. Knowledge of road and traffic regulations. Ability to work as part of a team.
