We are a small, young but hungry and growing company with more than enough work to go around. We are looking for a few hard workers. One skilled tradesperson/foreman in exterior carpentry and two skilled laborers one general construction laborer and one apprentice/carpenter are needed for the upcoming construction season. We offer competitive pay, spiffs, bonuses, retirement program and accrual paid time off (after minimal time of employment). As the company grows more benefits will be added ie.. insurance, paid holidays, sick time. Our company is an exterior living residential construction outfit that takes advantage of the Oregon light schedule and work only Four 10 hour days a week mandatory with current availability to work Five 10's. However, that 3rd day off is a dream come true! Some of our projects include fences, decks, pergolas, covered patios, pathways, paver patios, cultured stone work, custom stone work ie pizza ovens, fire pits, patios, retention walls (wood and stone). General Labor requirements: Must be 18, must be strong enough to pickup, twist, carry and put down loads as heavy as 100+lbs. all day long steadily up or down hills, stairs, pathways if needed (not typical but does happen). Must have reliable transportation to get onsite as well as to and from different projects around the Portland metro area if needed (not typical but does happen). Must be able to perform the duties and tasks given by paying attention to detail. Must be healthy this position is not for anyone with any physical medical conditions. We will train you in everything else we may need. Any experience with any tools is a huge +. Any experience in landscape construction, carpentry or masonry is A+. Cannot be afraid to get wet or dirty, to sweat and sometimes bleed. We work outside 98% of the time all year long in Portland Oregon and surrounding areas. Great job for recent high school student or college aged person that wants to learn how to work with their hands and to learn to build. Hard working attitudes only no sissy la la's. Starting wage $16 up to $18 DOE Carpenter or Apprentice requirements: Must have 1yr experience for apprentice in general construction 3-5 years minimum experience as carpenter constructing fences, decks, covered patios, pergolas, trellis'. Home framing/additions experience A+. Must have reliable transportation to and from shop or job site and from job site to jobsite if needed in the same day(not typical). Must own personal hand tools and bags if not your a laborer until you can provide your own. Cordless tools are A+. We provide large tools. Must be able to pickup twist carry and put down up to 100lbs worth of materials. Must know how to carry and stack boards if not then your a laborer. Any experience in masonry and or landscape construction A+. Cannot be afraid to get wet or dirty, to sweat or bleed sometimes. We work outside 98% of the time all year long in Portland OR and the surrounding areas. This is not a position for a physically unhealthy person or someone who is scared of the rain or mud. Must be capable and willing to possibly learn new construction traits if needed. Hard working individuals only, pansies need not apply. Pay starts @18 up to $24 Foreman Requirements: Must have ten verifiable years in the construction carpentry industry and minimum 3 years in foreman role. Must be able to construct a fence, deck, covered patio, pergola, trellis or an addition onto a home properly with absolutely zero guidance from anyone else except when making changes requested by an inspector. Must be able to read prints. Must have basic knowledge and understanding of current IBC, Oregon and Portland metro building codes. Must have own tools including cordless and bags (we provide large tools) and must have transportation to and from site, shop, and jobsite to jobsite(not typical). Must be able to keep everyone on site working together and staying on task to complete the projects in a timely, safe and efficient manner. Must hold people under you accountable ie on time, staying busy and installing properly. Must hold yourself accountable and not make excuses. Must be punctual. Must work well with others and know how to direct people properly and willing to show others the installation processes. Its not the 90's anymore we cannot degrade and yell at our helpers. Willing to obtain a Contractors license is A+ we will pay you to get it and for the license itself. We work outside 98% of the time currently and there is no room for people that are afraid to get wet or dirty, to sweat or bleed. We are looking for a hard worker with some fire under them to make things happen and run a crew of 3 or more up to 6 people at times. This position is not for a physically unhealthy person. Drunks and Druggies need not apply. This is an important position for us as a company so we require our upcoming leader to be just that a leader and we will not tolerate lying, unaccountability, excuses, unpunctuality, drunks and/or druggies.
