Job Duties: Cleans and disinfects various surfaces in the restroom areas including toilets, partitions, sinks, mirrors, and fixtures. Checks and restocks supplies including soap, tissues, toilet paper, toilet seat covers, paper towels, cologne, and combs in restrooms. Cleans and dusts offices, library and similar areas. Polishes furniture. Empties trash and recycling containers. Delivers fresh towels and picks up used bins, moves them to the laundry holding area. Vacuums carpets. Dust and/or damp mops floors in sports courts and gyms. Spot washes walls in racquetball, squash, and handball courts to remove ball marks, scuff marks, etc. Conducts detail cleaning. Works with cleaning fluids, chemicals, cleaning agents, or similar solutions using personal protective equipment. Qualifications: Basic janitorial skills including a familiarity with janitorial supplies, chemicals, and equipment preferred Must be reliable and punctual Skills to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees and members Essential functions include the ability to: lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lb.; frequently bend squat, climb, twist, and crawl; reach above shoulders and grasp or squeeze objects; stand and walk on feet for entire shift; work with chemicals
