National consulting engineering firm has openings in their Dallas, Texas office for a staff geotechnical engineer. The candidate is expected to assist in geotechnical projects, including field work and laboratory work such as soil sample logging, site visits, and soil laboratory testing. This position involves unrestricted overnight and out-of-state travel. In addition, the candidate will be involved in the other two aspects of our consulting services: Environmental and Construction Materials Testing / Observation. As part of the introduction to our firm, and to provide the candidate with a thorough background and understanding of all of the different types of services we provide, the candidate is expected to spend time in the field within these areas, ranging from an assignment with the field personnel, to performing field testing and data gathering, to construction monitoring. Good oral and verbal communication skills, ability to work independently and with others are required.
