National consulting engineering firm has openings in their Dallas, Texas office for a staff environmental scientist. The candidate is expected to assist in environmental projects, including field work for Phase I and Phase II site assessments and other field work such as soil sample logging, groundwater sampling, site visits, and soil laboratory testing. This position involves unrestricted overnight and out-of-state travel. In addition, the candidate will be involved in the other two aspects of our consulting services: Geotechnical Engineering and Construction Materials Testing / Observation. As part of the introduction to our firm, and to provide the candidate with a thorough background and understanding of all of the different types of services we provide, the candidate is expected to spend time in the field within these areas, ranging from an assignment with the field personnel, to performing field testing and data gathering, to construction monitoring. Good oral and verbal communication skills, ability to work independently and with others are required.
