Tarpstop in Perrysburg is seeking to fill full-time positions in the tarp department. Our Tarp Makers are responsible for taking vinyl tarp material and turning it into panels for our tarping systems. We are looking for candidates who are dedicated and dependable to fill first shift positions. Qualified candidates will be quick learners with an aptitude for measurement and strong attention to detail. You must be team oriented, punctual and enjoy meeting challenges with a desire to succeed. The right candidate will be trained to work using industrial sewing machinery; no previous experience with tarping systems required!
We have 1st shift full-time positions available, working 5:30am through 3:00pm Monday through Friday, and 7:00am - 11:00am every other Saturday.
Responsibilities include: measuring, cutting, sewing, grommeting, and stenciling materials as directed by the sales order. Operating equipment including but not limited to: sewing machine, heat sealer, fork lift, RF welder, grommet machine, heat gun, or pallet jack.
Requirements: Must be able to read tape measure to the 1/16th inch, as well as add, subtract, multiply, and divide fractions. Will need to work as a part of a team, purchase and maintain necessary tools, read and write English, and have a regard for safety, quality, and accuracy. Physically will need to lift, push, pull, and drag up to 100lbs individually, as well as sit, stand, or kneel up to the full shift. Steel toe or safety toe boots/shoes are required in all areas.
