install breakers for 220 On separate panel ( and run it from the opposite side of house above and below ground as garage is detached from house) and run conduit around inside garage for more boxes to be used for mechanic. garage is drywalled and all is accessible ( box is already in place for 100 but not for 220..). 2 day job if you know what you are doing. must be More than a regular handyman and less than a full blown electrician as it is fairly simple. The more local the better
