Description
We currently have an immediate opportunity for a Shipping and Receiving clerk in the city of Santa Ana, CA.
The Shipping & Receiving Clerk will be responsible for assembling packaging materials and package equipment for domestic and international shipments. Ensure that all shipping documents are completed accurately and on-time.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Assembles packaging material and packages equipment in preparation for shipment for domestic and international.
-Verifying outbound shipments against documentation, labeling equipment for final QC inspection, marking/tagging all parts with correct part number and ensuring parts are clean.
-Crates and straps machines according to policies and procedures. When necessary, modifies crates to meet shipment requirements. May manufacture pallets.
-Posts parcel shipments in UPS log.
-Requests quotes from carriers and determines carriers’ selection utilizing knowledge of route and geographic restrictions.
-Arranges pick up and prepares bill of lading.
-Ensures customs documentation for international shipments is complete.
Monitors the supply of packaging materials and requisitions supplies as required.
-Maintains shipping station areas in working order and stock with materials.
-Access vendor’s web sites and fills and prints BOL’S and shipping labels.
SCHEDULE:
-Mon-Fri, 1st shift, $18/hr
