Urgently Hiring: Auto Mechanic Technician Assists with repairs and performs preventive maintenance of vehicles, keeps inventory of supplies, properly disposes of fluids/oils and keeps the shop clean and organized. Essential Job Functions ● Will follow a checklist to perform routine oil and filter changes, and other lubrication requirements; check levels and refill fluids levels such as transmission, coolant and brake system. ● Inspect tires, repair flat tires, mount and dismount tires from rims, perform high speed balancing, know how to inflate tires to proper air pressure levels and perform tire rotation. ● Check battery condition, know how to use a tester, know how to replace battery when necessary and repair and replace other minor electrical components. ● Perform coolant replacement, inspect hoses and areas for potential leaks; also check drive belt or serpentine belt. ● Vehicles shall only be moved from the parking to inside the shop, then back to the parking space. Test drives will only be performed by the executive management. ● Keep the shop and work areas clean, remove any spills or debris. All tools and equipment must be cleaned, lubricated as required and properly stored. Used oil or other fluids must be placed in holding tanks for disposal or recycling. Old parts cores must be properly placed in a designated area for recycling. ● Will report punctually to work everyday, as scheduled. Qualifications ● Must have a minimum of 2-years working as an Technician or apprentice, in an established automotive repair shop. ● Have a high school diploma or a GED. ● Must use their own set of tools. ● Have a valid driver's license and should have a clean record ● Should speak, read and write in English, Spanish is a plus! The Auto Mechanic Technician is a full time position, the hours of operations are Monday through Friday from 8am to 5 pm. Compensation is dependent on the amount of experience and skills brought.
