Job Description Crane Operator / Order Puller / Loader Description: Under the direction of the supervisor or his appointed lead person, operates a double hoist overhead crane to load and unload steel products. Responsibilities: Understands and performs all functions associated with the operation of the double hoist overhead crane. Performs daily inspection and reports any repairs needed to maintenance. Uses and understands measuring instruments….tape measure and micrometer. Receives and checks material for grade, thickness, and size. Color codes material per procedure. Requirements: 2 years prior experience operating the overhead crane. Must be able to read, write, have knowledge of basic mathematics and read a tape measure. In house crane certification required Must be able to work any shift and overtime when needed. Knowledge of steel is a plus but not necessary.
