ZEPHYRHILLS, FL — Pasco County sheriff's detectives are continuing to investigate a homicide that occurred at Samuel Pasco Athletic Park in Zephyrhills Oct. 17. Carl Branch, 32, of Fort Myers was shot and killed in the parking lot of the park while a children's football tournament was taking place. It was a drive-by shooting from a white, four-door Nissan sedan. The car has damage to the driver's side front panel, which is painted a tan primer color. The shooter is believed to be a Black man from the Fort Myers area. Detectives don't know why Branch was targeted.
