The RP states the theft occurred sometime between 2/8/2021 4:30 p.m. and 2/10/2021 at 9:30 a.m. 02/10/202110:21 INCIDENT 21000892 LEAVE SCENE OF PROPERTY DAMAGE C90 S24 FLORENCE ST A resident of Cambridge states his vehicle was involved in a hit and run while it was parked on Florence Street at Magazine Street. 02/10/202111:28 INCIDENT 21000894 MISC. REPORT TYPE ERIE ST Cambridge Police responded to Erie Street for a report of an apartment full of thick smoke. Cambridge Fire aired out the smoke and put out the fire. 02/10/202112:16 INCIDENT 21000896 BICYCLE, LARCENY OF, C266 S41 FRANKLIN ST Michael Medeiros, 39, Pelham, NH, was arrested at approximately 12:15 p.m. at Franklin Street and charged with Larceny of a Bike and Malicious Destruction of Property Under $1200. An officer on patrol observed Medeiros remove a steel post from the ground and use it smash a lock securing a bike to a bike rack. Medeiros then removed the bike and was about to leave the area as he was stopped by the officer. Medeiros was also found to have four warrants out of Cambridge District Court (Larceny from a Building, Larceny over $1,200, Possession of a Burglarious Instrument and Aggravated Assault and Battery with a Dangerous Weapon). 02/10/202113:40 INCIDENT 21000898 IDENTITY FRAUD PUTNAM GDNS A resident of Cambridge states she received a phone call from an unknown woman who stated she worked for the Social Security Office. This suspect informed the resident that she is being investigated for drug charges in Texas and the Social Security Office needed her social security number. The resident provided her social security number to the suspect and later realized the call was a scam once the call ended. 02/10/202113:51 INCIDENT 21000899 LARCENY OVER $1200 C266 S30 ELM ST An Elm Street resident reported the theft of a catalytic converter from her parked and unoccupied motor vehicle sometime in the last few days. The value of the property is listed at $1,500. 02/10/202114:00 INCIDENT 21000900 LARCENY OVER $1200 BY SINGLE SCHEME C266 S30(1) HOMER AVE A resident of Cambridge states she received an email from "Norton Life Lock" that requested she call a number in that email to discuss issues with her account. The resident called the number, spoke with an individual, and was eventually scammed out of $1,800 by the suspect. 02/10/202114:21 INCIDENT 21000904 ATTEMPT TO COMMIT CRIME BEECH ST A Beech Street resident reported being a victim of an attempted larceny. 02/10/202114:36 INCIDENT 21000901 THREAT TO COMMIT CRIME C275 S2 BERKSHIRE ST A threats report was taken by the Cambridge Police Department. 02/10/202114:59 INCIDENT 21000905 IDENTITY FRAUD SODEN ST A resident of Cambridge reported that her name and social security number were used to file a false tax return. 02/10/202115:32 INCIDENT 21000902 UNLICENSED OPERATION OF MV C90 S10 MASSACHUSETTS AVE Cambridge Police summonsed a resident of Boston after a motor vehicle stop on Massachusetts Avenue. The operator was observed driving the wrong way on Massachusetts Avenue near Remington Street, a public way in the city of Cambridge. He was stopped in the vicinity of Putnam Square. During the stop, it was learned that the driver does not possess a valid driver's license. 02/10/202115:46 INCIDENT 21000903 LARCENY UNDER $1200 C266 S30(1) MASSACHUSETTS AVE Cambridge Police were dispatched to a facility on Massachusetts Avenue for the report a disturbance. A police report for a mutual larceny between two persons was taken. 02/10/202115:52 ARREST 21000908 WARRANT ARREST REPORT ALEWIFE BROOK PKWY Cambridge Police arrested Samuel Ortiz, 39, homeless, for warrants out of Boston and West Roxbury District Courts (Larceny from Person, Larceny from Building, Threat to Commit a Crime, Trespassing, Disorderly Conduct, Indecent Exposure and Shoplifting by Asportation). Ortiz was stopped and identified following a shoplifting incident at a department store on Alewife Parkway. 02/10/202116:03 INCIDENT 21000907 LARCENY FROM PERSON C266 S25 MASSACHUSETTS AVE A resident of Cambridge was picked pocketed in a pharmacy by a person known to her. The suspect stolen her medication. 02/10/202116:32 INCIDENT 21000906 TAGGING PROPERTY C266 S126B CHURCH ST The manager of a restaurant located at Church Street reports that a person tagged the side door to the business at approximately 3 p.m. 02/10/202116:59 INCIDENT 21000909 IDENTITY FRAUD WALDEN SQUARE RD A resident of Cambridge reports being the victim of a flim flam where she provided personal and banking information over the phone to an unknown person. 02/10/202117:57 INCIDENT 21000911 MASSACHUSETTS AVE Police and EMS responded to the vicinity of Massachusetts Avenue and Pearl Street for a past assault. The victim refused medical services and the suspect was identified. 02/10/202122:07 INCIDENT 21000913 MISC.
