JEFFERSON COUNTY, CO — The number of stores and restaurants reporting outbreaks in Denver's metro area has declined over the past several weeks, according to state public health data. Colorado restaurants and stores have strict cleaning procedures and coronavirus safety measures in place; however, many businesses are dealing with ongoing outbreaks due to the number of people who visit them each week. Some outbreaks have lasted more than three months since they were first detected. If you're concerned about contracting the virus and delivery or takeout services aren't an option for you, washing your hands as frequently as possible, social distancing and wearing a mask will go a long way in protecting you in stores, health officials said.
