Proper Home Inc. is looking for an experienced carpenter to join the team. On the job site, the carpenter will be principally responsible for construction, but will also be responsible for communication and reporting to the project manager or head laborer. This position will require travel within the Bay Area. RESPONSIBILITIES • Work with Construction Project Manager to ensure the project is ready for subcontractors each day • Read and interpret construction blueprints • Ensure work performed is in accordance with plans and specifications • Framing layout, rough framing of walls, floors as well as layout and framing of stairs, windows and doors • Work at elevated heights and in confined spaces • Follow all CalOSHA and company safety regulations • Maintain job site security QUALIFICATIONS • Experience with residential remodels and new build projects • Extensive knowledge of materials, methods, and tools involved in the construction of residential homes • Excellent knowledge for reading blueprints • Broad range of carpentry skills from framing to finish work • Able to anticipate and troubleshoot problems • Excellent communication and ability to follow direction and perform work as designated • Physical ability to lift/handle materials • Must have own vehicle • Bilingual in both English and Spanish a plus WHAT WE OFFER • Competitive pay based on experience • Company Medical, Dental, Vision Insurance; 401K; paid time off
