Since 1985, Total Environmental Management, Inc. has engineered temporary temperature-control solutions throughout California and the Western United States. We proudly build, install and maintain all of our own equipment. Our combined facilities span three acres where we store one of the largest fleets in California. Within our warehouses we have 40,000 square feet of interior storage containing coolers, boilers, chillers, hoses, cables, pumps and ducts. TEM’s highly trained personnel provide all in-house maintenance and service 24/7, 365 days a year. We are a fast paced company that still offers that “family feel” everyone appreciates. With our current grown we are looking for someone to fill an Install Technician position in our Newark Branch. The Install Technician at TEM is responsible to assist in staging projects, installation and teardown of equipment and should be available/able to be On Call and Work Overtime, as required. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Include: Installation and Teardown of temporary HVAC systems Preparing for installations & restocking when jobs are complete Assist in organization of the warehouse Following all safety requirements and use appropriate PPE Following written project installation plans Keeping appropriate records Flexibility to work extended shifts which includes on call rotation Preferred Education and/or Experience: Requires a High School Diploma or GED Prefer Two-year college or technical school with a certificate in HVAC or 1-3 years related experience. Computer skills, ability to manage user friendly paperwork programs Required Items: Valid Driver’s License with good driving record Work authorization: US (Required) Physical Demands: BODY POSITIONS: Standing, walking, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and reaching with the hands and/or arms, in the yard, or field areas. BODY MOVEMENTS: The incumbent must have full range of body movements including use of hands to fingers, to handle or feel objects, operate electric and pneumatic tools, climb ladders, and stairs. Must be able to lift up to fifty (50) pounds, on an on-going basis. No lifting of over one hundred (100) pounds, without assistance. BODY SENSES: Peripheral vision: Able to observe an area that can be down, or to the left and/or to the right while the eyes are focused on a given point. Depth perception: three-dimensional vision, ability to judge distance. Ability to adjust focus Full hearing is required, in order to hear construction, machines and vehicles noises and identify potential dangers.
