COPIAGUE, NY — A pedestrian was killed after being struck by three cars — including two that fled the scene — in Copiague Wednesday night, according to Suffolk police. Gacia Laroche, 52, of Amityville was crossing eastbound Sunrise Highway, from north to south, at the intersection of Bayview Avenue, when he was struck by a 2006 Chevrolet pickup truck at 10:20 p.m., police said. That driver stopped and remained at the scene. Laroche was then run over by two other cars that fled the scene, police said. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
