Description

A zine is a self-published, non-commercial digital or print-work that is typically produced in small, limited batches. They are used to showcase digital art, poetry, photos, personal stories, playlists, recipes, book reviews -- anything worth sharing. This 90-minute workshop will guide you through the basics of outlining, designing, and distributing a digital zine. Through this workshop, you will be empowered and encouraged to experiment with the zine artform and to create something that captures and reflects your unique human experience. This class will provide: - A Discussion of Zinemaking history - Printable Zine templates - Example Zine Outlines - Zinemaking and Online Zine Library resources Whether you’re a traditional or a digital artist, zine-making is a valuable and highly customizable form of artistic expression that puts you in total control. This course will be hosted over Zoom. Classes will be small and interpersonal, so students are welcome to come with specific questions about their zinemaking goals.
