Description
The Foreman works under the golf course superintendent in a supervisory capacity. Responsibilities include delegating work assignments, overseeing job performance and inspecting course conditions.
SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL POSSESS
• Prior golf course maintenance supervisory experience is a plus
• Valid California driver’s license
• Knowledge of golf maintenance equipment, including mowers, trimmers, tractors and heavy equipment
• Knowledge and experience in the repair and installation of irrigation equipment(Rain Bird Cirrus System)
• Possess or ability to obtain a Pesticide License (QAC or QAL) within 6 months of hire
• Experience supervising a team of 8 or more employees
• Must be able to work weekends and holidays
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.

POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for overseeing the daily course maintenance activities of the golf staff. Carries out the work assigned by the golf course superintendent and delegates work assignments in an effective manner. Must have an understanding of golf course irrigation and be able to interpret irrigation maps
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES
• Advises Superintendent of course conditions.
• Chemical, fertilizer, calibrations and applications
• Repairing and troubleshooting irrigation issues on the property.
• Hand watering greens, tees and fairways when needed.
• Assist with planning, scheduling, instructing, training, and directing crew in the performance of course maintenance procedures and job performance.
• Must be self-motivated!
