We are looking for a reliable Handyman to undertake and upkeep repair tasks at the interior or exterior of our customers homes. Deft hands and technical knowledge are important parts of a handyman’s arsenal. You must be well organized with strong general repair skills. A keen eye for detail and physical stamina are valued greatly for this position. Job Details: Measure and cut insulation for covering surfaces, using tape measures, handsaws, knives, and scissors. Measure materials or objects for installation or assembly. Remove worn, damaged or outdated materials from work areas. Fit insulation around obstructions, and shape insulating materials and protective coverings as required. Install insulation in equipment or structures. Blown in and Batts insulation from attics and crawlspaces and replace with blown in cellulose and perform crawlspace encapsulation and vapor barriers. Determine the amounts and types of insulation needed, and methods of installation, based on factors such as location, surface shape, and equipment use. Install sheet metal around insulated pipes with screws to protect the insulation from weather conditions or physical damage. Apply, remove, and repair insulation on industrial equipment, pipes, ductwork, or other mechanical systems Install insulation in equipment or structures. Cover, seal, or finish insulated surfaces or access holes with plastic covers, canvas strips, sealants, tape, cement, or asphalt mastic. Install insulation in equipment or structures. Apply sealants or other protective coatings. Prepare surfaces for insulation application by brushing or spreading on adhesives, cement, or asphalt, or by attaching metal pins to surfaces. Distribute insulating materials evenly into small spaces within floors, ceilings, or walls, using blowers and hose attachments or cement mortar. Move controls, buttons, or levers to start blowers, and to regulate flow of materials through nozzles. Fill blower hoppers with insulating materials. Load materials into construction equipment. Requirements: High School Diploma or GED preferred Valid Drivers license and clean Driving Record is a must Basic math skills and ability to operate electronics Great communication ability and good human relations Well organized with good time management and apt in problem solving Extensive attention to detail and highly observant Willingness to uphold company standards for safety, customer service and efficiency Have a positive attitude to work Ability to handle physical workload Requires standing up for long periods of time Requires working in very hot (above 90 F degrees) or very cold (below 32 F degrees) temperatures.
