DARIEN, IL — The Darien Police Department released its weekly blotter Thursday. Here is information from the latest police reports: Richard Gubala, 45, of Clarendon Hills, was arrested about 11 p.m. Saturday in the 8300 block of Portsmouth Drive on charges of DUI, obstructing a police officer and possession of alcohol by a driver. He was released and given a date to appear in court. Mayra Espana, 20, of Berwyn, was cited about noon Feb. 2 in the 7900 block of Lemont Road on a charge of unlawful possession of marijuana by a driver. According to a police report, she was stopped after driving over the centerline. She was released and given a date to appear in court. Someone placed several screws on a driveway overnight Jan. 30 in the 1000 block of Belair Drive. The screws damaged tires. Dylan Voss, 20, of Darien, was cited Feb. 3 on Cass Avenue at Plainfield Road on charges of driving with a suspended license, unlawful possession of marijuana by a driver and improper window tinting. He was released and given a date to appear in court. Freddy Ponce, 25, of Willowbrook, was cited about 10:30 a.m. Feb. 3 in the 1700 block of Plainfield Road on charges of unlawful possession of marijuana by a driver and speeding. According to a police report, he was speeding 58 mph in a 40 mph zone. He was released and given a date to appear in court. Cristina Sanchez, 18, of Romeoville, was cited at 10 p.m. Feb. 5 in the 8100 block of Cass Avenue on charges of unlawful possession of marijuana by a driver and speeding. The passenger, Zaria Matlock, 20, of Romeoville, was arrested on a DuPage County warrant charging domestic battery. They were released and given dates to appear in court. A bicycle was stolen about 3 p.m. Saturday at Home Depot, 2101 75th St. The loss was estimated at $400.Diamond Clay, 20, of Naperville, was cited about 5:30 p.m. Sunday on Plainfield Road at 75th Street on charges of possession of marijuana by a driver and driving while using a cellphone.
