It is looking to be a pretty cold Valentine's Day but six-time Apollo winner Tarrey Torae will be warming things up in a live-streamed concert 7 p.m. Valentine's Day Weekend, Saturday, Feb. 13. This concert is part of the Eighth Blackbird Presents: The Chicago Artists Workshop (CAW) live concert series. Because this concert will be live streamed, everyone can enjoy the concert with the one they love in the toasty comfort of home.
In this concert, Torae, joined by her husband J. Ivy, will be performing songs from her upcoming album of love songs, "Catching Feelings." Their combined musical talent and emotional chemistry is guaranteed to be a great Valentine's Day weekend date night experience.
Torae has appeared and written on two GRAMMY winning albums for her work with Kanye West and John Legend and was recently featured as vocalist on the Chicago Bulls' MLK Day Tribute . Other performance credits include several national tours including a 55-city Coca Cola NAACP Tour, the Nissan/Essence Magazine Moyo Music Mix Tour, The Rock the Bells Festival Tour and Lollapalooza. She has also performed on stages with The Roots, Common, Patti Labelle and Stevie Wonder and shared stages with Jill Scott, Mos Def, Nas and Usher among others.
Tarrey Torae: "Catching Feelings" live streamed concert will be staged at the Eighth Blackbird production facility located at 4045 N. Rockwell St. Suggested price per household is $20,but options include choosing a price as well as contributing as a supporter. The event will include an interview and a Q&A with the artist.
