Description
CONCORD, NH — Police are investigating a crash on Hopkinton Road on Wednesday which led to firefighters extricating the driver from the vehicle.
Just after 7:45 p.m., the crash was reported on Pleasant Street near St. Paul's School. But after police arrived, they realized it was actually on Hopkinton Road, just west of the school. Concord police and firefighters found the vehicle, a Chevrolet SUV, had rolled and was now on its side and slightly down an embankment. There was also a driver entrapped in the SUV.
The driver, the first arriving officer said, was conscious but had a hand injury.
As firefighters prepared to extricate the driver, he was able to get himself out of the vehicle. EMTs evaluated the patient and firefighters cleared.
Fire command also requested dispatch call the New Hampshire Department of Transportation to sand the road since it was slippery, according to dispatch.
Not long after this crash, firefighters and police were sent to a second crash on Loudon Road under the Interstate 93 overpass between a Kia and a Jeep.
