HOME REMODELING BUILD TECHS Lead Carpenter needed immediately 1) Responsible for: > Designing, building, installing, and repairing structures, fixtures, furniture, and other items using different types of materials including wood, glass, tile, concrete, steel and other related const. mtl's. > Will supervise varying crew sizes depending on the project. Will report to and communicate with project coordinator as needed or requested. Will resolve and complete all projects in a timely fashion and have a professional-minded attitude. 2) Primary Responsibility: PLEASING OUR CUSTOMERS SO WE ALL MAKE MONEY!  This is your primary JOB! How do you make money for the company? What is your goal? If your boss is going to measure you on one and only one accomplishment, what should that be? PLEASING OUR CUSTOMERS SO WE CAN ALL MAKE MONEY!  Some of the job scopes to achieve that...  Confirm the project scope & layout of the project with the project coordinator.  Prepare the layout of the project.  Prepare for and meet with the project coordinator to review and confirm work scope before meeting with owners.  Prepare for and meet with the project coordinator and the owners to review and confirm work scope.   Estimate height, width, length, and other proportions for mtl's needs takeoffs.  Identify and select necessary materials and work with staff to procure them.  Work with blueprints, and or verbal, written or digital instructions from supervisors.  Coordinate with customers for related work space and a sc-vheduling needs.  Work with materials such as wood, plastic, fiberglass, tile, concrete, or drywall.  Utilize both manual and powered chisels, planes, saws, drills, and sanders to repair, modify and erect structures.  Join materials with nails, screws, staples, or adhesives.  Work on top of stilts, ladders, and the top beams of buildings.  Occasionally Lift up to 92#.  Check work along the way to ensure it's up to code and specifications.  Use levels, rules, plumb bobs, framing squares, and surveying equipment to ensure everything is level and secure.  Work with prefabricated & built on site building components to complete projects.  Build stairs, mantles, and other interior finishing tasks.  Hang doors and windows.   Install cabinets and molding.  Remodel homes and businesses.  Install outdoor decks, pergolas, trelis assemblies and other outdoor living structures  Create structures for pouring cast  concrete.  Erect scaffolding and build bracing for various needs.  Build concrete forms for construction project.  Replace panes of glass, ceiling tiles, and doors.  Repair or build outdoor furniture.  Install partitions, doors, and windows.  Prepare mtl's needs lists, reports and communicate using electronic tablets & phone for coordinating the work scope to completion.  Prepare for and meet with the project coordinator and the homeowner for close out meeting if project and fulfill any punch list items before leaving project.  Recommended skills: Leadership Carpentry Construction knowledge and application Customer relations skills Inventory Control
