Guitarist looking to join/form a band

I’m Jeff, I’m 37 and been playing guitar for 25 years. I’m searching for a new band after my last one broke up right before the start of Covid. I also play bass but I don’t own one at the moment. I was the bass player in my last band using the bass the other guitarist had. I occasionally drink almost never to the point of drunk and rarely if ever 420. It’s fine if you do, but don’t expect me to participate every time. I don’t do well with excessive daily drinkers or other harder drug use. Forewarned and Forearmed! I’m a happy go lucky kind of guy with substances and expect dirty inappropriate jokes. I also Don’t care if you are a liberal or conservative. Just know why you are and be able to back it up and not just spew back what’s being said on your choice of news channels. Think for yourself even if it’s unpopular! I’m a centrist and think both sides are just as corrupt in different ways. I have songs that talk about that. Some liberal slanted others conservative slanted and often times in the same song. I have influences in just about every genera with at least a song or 2, but my main focus is on rock punk and metal, with lately leaning heavily towards 80s thrash and 90s punk. I can play some lead, but my skills are in the rhythm parts. Working on learning sweeps as we speak. I practice a minimum of 20 minutes a day, way more if I got the time before work. Days off, it’s usually and hour or 2. I really want to do originals. I’ll play covers we select to play as a band, but I usually like to put our own twist on it. I don’t know any covers right now, I have a tendency to forget them when I’m no longer in the band that plays them. In my practice sessions, I usually write my own or learn a riff or 2 from my favorite song at the moment usually to pull myself out of a creative rut. As a band I’m aiming to practice twice a week maybe more. Playing shows is the goal but I don’t want to set time lines for that and sacrifice quality. When we get 8-12 songs (originals and covers) down pat, knowing them front to back and can play them in our sleep, we’ll discuss shows.
