Press release from the City of Greensboro: Post Date:02/11/2021 8:00 AM Greensboro residents are encouraged to review and comment on the updated Citizen Participation Plan (CPP) during the public comment period now through February 15. The City's CPP describes the efforts it will take to encourage residents to participate in developing programs/activities financed with entitlement funding from the US Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). It also provides requirements for public process when a "substantial amendment" to the Annual Action Plan is proposed. This update to the CPP includes revising public comment and public notice periods related to COVID-19 responses and to authorize virtual public hearings in lieu of in-person public hearings. Written and/or verbal comments may be submitted by 11:59 pm Monday, February 15, by email or calling 336-433-7266. Need a hard copy of the CPP? Call 336-433-7266. City Council will review and consider any comments prior to final approval of the CPP at its March 2 City Council meeting. The final CPP will be available in English and Spanish.
