Title: Seeking Lath and Plaster Subcontractor (Commercial and Residential) Body: We are a busy South Bay based General Contracting firm seeking to form a long term relationship with an experienced Lathing and Plastering Subcontractor. Our pipeline of work is currently well into 2020 and we would like YOU to join our growing stucco division. Scopes of work include patching stucco at a new moment frame for structural retrofit in a multi-family properties, remodel or new builds that require complete waterproof paper application and then stucco, smaller repairs and patching for damaged stucco. Jobs will vary between residential and commercial and range in length from a few days to a few weeks, the majority of work will be in Los Angeles. Expected duties and skills: Light demolition of existing plaster for patching Light framing when needed Application of waterproof paper Caulking penetrations Furring nail installation Application of lath Installation of weep screed as needed Application of 3 layer process – scratch, brown and stucco Sand finish stucco Smooth finish stucco Santa Barbara style stucco Working on elevated platforms like A frames or scaffolding Coordination with Project Manager to get appropriate building, deputy or engineering inspections Jobs accomplished in a professional and efficient manner Requirements: Understanding and adherence to all health and safety standards Current and active C-35 license Worker’s Compensation insurance coverage General Liability Insurance insurance coverage Business License Utility truck Scaffolding for smaller jobs a plus Power generator Please send a cover letter, references and descriptions of completed work with photos.
