Experienced Landscaper – LEAD Bainbridge Island landscaping company is seeking an experienced Landscaping Project Lead to add to our staff immediately. This is a full time no more than 40 hours per week Monday–Friday position. Pay will be based on your experience level. We are looking for a person seeking long term employment with a minimum of 5 years recent experience in a proven lead position. This position requires a high attention to detail, someone who takes pride in their work and, the ability to teach others the most efficient and quality techniques in landscaping. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: • Lead small crew in maintaining every aspect of the residential landscape including, but not limited to, weeding, mulching, mowing, blowing, edging, pruning, planting. • Ability to follow daily procedures for proper time keeping, truck and tool check in and check out. • Apply fertilizers and abatements • Prioritize and manage projects under time constraints and meeting deadlines while still maintaining high standards. • Safely work outdoors in varying terrain and weather conditions while maintaining a positive attitude and good sense of humor. • Safely and responsibly drive company vehicle to and from sites. • Lead by example when it comes to safety and ensure crew is following appropriate standards and guidelines. • Flexibility in scheduling and ability to perform many different tasks. • Report to General Manager to ensure the completion of daily maintenance, special projects, appropriate paperwork, and customer requests. Requirements: • Knowledge of and ability to use power tools related to landscaping and grounds maintenance. • Operation knowledge of riding mowers and 21" mowers. • Installation knowledge and ability of hardscape materials such as patios, rock/block walls, pump, drip and other irrigation, low voltage lighting, ponds and water features. • Knowledge of and ability to use common hand tools. • Knowledge of the Pacific Northwest plant materials and there care. • Proper pruning practices. • Reliable transportation; current WA driver's license and vehicle insurance • Experience driving a large vehicle; experience driving with a trailer. • Ability to communicate with superiors, clients, and crew members clearly in English. Spanish is a plus. Must be able to speak, read and write English. • Must be able to pass a criminal background check • Must be able to lift 75 lbs.
