IMMEDIATE opportunities for detailed oriented people to join the team of a state-of-the-art facility in Baltimore County, Sparrows Point, MD. This facility works with all brand-new vehicles, mostly Audi and Volkswagen: We are looking for a Repair Technician. This role pays about $21-22/hour. This Tech is responsible for repairing, updating, and inspecting cars. They perform diagnostics, repair the vehicles alongside the Master Mechanic on-site, and perform updates. Experience with Volkswagen and Audi is preferred for this role. Responsibilities Include: Perform diagnostic evaluation on vehicles using Volkswagen Group of America diagnostic tools Repair vehicles at PQT Repairs, tests, maintains, and updates VW/Audi vehicles to the latest technical level Tests vehicles under varying conditions to determine and document cause of problems Evaluates new diagnostic systems and procedures; verifies GFF and service publications Performs and evaluates repairs according to newly developed repair information Performs accurate and timely analysis of failure modes in assigned models Tests and validates field fixes Maintains a clean and orderly work environment, shop tools, and equipment necessary for stop orders Create repair estimates for damaged cars Skills required: Technical ability to logically work through electrical/mechanical failures and pinpoint root cause Fact-based decision making skills OEM Automotive Industry Tool & Equipment knowledge Leadership and team building skills Technical familiarity with Volkswagen / Audi diagnostics Driver license and ability to drive manual (stick-shift) Analytical and conceptual thinking – using logic and reason, creative and strategic Communication skills – interpersonal, presentation and written Integration – joining people, processes or systems Problem solving Resource management Highly motivated self-starter with a high bias for action Fact-based decision making skills
