I'm 48 and have been playing bass since I was about 16 and am at least above average in playing ability. Looking to play some metal/hard rock in a band that plays covers and is open to original music with the idea of playing some shows here and there when available. I work full time and so would be around 2-3 nights per week to rehearse. Groups like Metallica, Slayer, Hatebreed, Danzig, Maiden, All Out War, Harms Way, Machine Head, etc are all bands I like and can play to varying degrees. I also like Deicide, Cannibal Corpse, Behemoth, etc but struggle a bit to play songs from those bands unless I really work on them. I'm serious about being in a band with other players that will take the time to rehearse when scheduled and work to learn agreed upon songs. Everyone's time is important so I only want to work with folks who share that attitude.
