Local Petroleum Contractor is seeking a qualified Fuel Site Superintendents and Laboroers to provide both project supervision and hands-on work activities within our Fuel-Related Construction Service Line. Duties include: • Organize, coordinate, and supervise the work of craft employees on fuel-related construction projects. • Determine work priorities based on design documents, plans, specifications and coordinates work activities within the project area. • Assist the Project Manager with developing the work approach and cost estimate as well as obtaining quotes from subcontractors and vendors. • Assist the Project Manager with determining weekly and daily resource allocation associated with equipment, manpower, and materials, etc. • Perform hands on and physical construction work in the field whenever necessary to complete work. • Maintain detailed daily reports, safety inspections, and other field documentation. • Maintain cost records on work performed and materials used on site. • Must be able to operate heavy equipment and necessary tools to perform the work. • Maintain and update the project scheduling based on work performance. Responsibilities • The individual in this role is responsible for directing the fuel team in proper fuel system and piping installation and performing work alongside the team at various sites across Oregon and Washington. • The candidate must be able to demonstrate a working knowledge of regulatory compliance, safe installation procedures, and an ability to lead and manage multiple field crew members. Preferred Skills & Qualifications • High School diploma or equivalent • Minimum three (3) years in the construction or fuel industry PREFERRED • Two (2) years of supervisory experience in construction • Extensive knowledge of fuel system and installation procedures • Current licenses and certifications necessary to oversee fuel and piping work • Preference for candidates with mechanical, welding and/or pipe fitting experience and certifications • A strong working knowledge of EPA, OSHA, and other Federal, State & Local regulations • Ability to motivate others to achieve desired results • Must be a self‐driven and resourceful professional with the ability to solve problems • An ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‐paced environment • Excellent written and oral communication skills are necessary • Certifications & Training (Preferred upon employment or to be provided upon hire) • 40-Hour HAZwoper Training • Current 8-Hour HAZwoper Refresher Training • OSHA 30 Hour Outreach Training Course • Confined Space Entry Training • Respirator Qualified • American Red Cross CPR and First Aid Trained • ODEQ Licensed Installation/Retrofit Supervisor • IFCI UST Installation / Retrofit Supervisor • ODEQ Licensed Decommissioning Supervisor • IFCI UST Decommissioning Supervisor • ICC install and decommissioning certification • Primary & Secondary Containment Installation Certificate • Class A CDL Driver • Certified Forklift and Scissor lift Operator • Certified Erosion & Sediment Control Supervisor • API Worksafe Card Holder Out‐of‐area and overnight travel is expected in this position.
